1. Data we collect
When you make a request, reservation or order, we record:
- your name, phone / WhatsApp number, city and, if you give it, your email;
- your vehicle details (make, model, year, engine, VIN) and the description of the part you need;
- for businesses: company name, address and NINEA;
- your history of requests, quotes, orders and payments (amount, method, date). We collect no card data.
- photos you send us on WhatsApp to identify a part.
2. Why we use it
We do not send marketing messages without your consent and we never sell your data.
- to identify the right part and check it fits your vehicle;
- to quote, process your order and keep you informed of its journey;
- to contact you about your request by WhatsApp, phone or email;
- to keep sales records and meet accounting and tax obligations;
- to improve our catalogue from the requests we receive (in aggregate).
3. WhatsApp
WhatsApp is our main channel. Messages there are processed by WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) under its own privacy policy. The details relevant to your request (reference, part, quote) are recorded in our system so you can track it online.
5. How long we keep it
- requests and quotes that did not become orders: 24 months;
- orders, payments and invoices: the statutory accounting retention period;
- contact details: while you are an active customer, then deleted or anonymised.
6. Security
Access to your data is limited to staff who need it, behind individual logins. The site is served over HTTPS. No method is infallible; we would inform you of any incident affecting you.
7. Your rights
You can at any time ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to a particular use, by writing to info@africaexpressmarkets.com or on WhatsApp at +221770000000. We reply within 30 days.
